I don't know about you, but I'm never not waiting for a Sephora sale. They only happen twice a year, when virtually everything in the store is at a discount—so it's the best time to save on all the products on your wish list.
And that time is now, my friends, because the annual Spring Savings Event has just begun. As always, the deals and shopping dates vary depending on your level in the rewards program:
- Rouge: Get 20% off from April 9-19.
- VIB: Get 15% off from April 13-19.
- Insider: Get 10% off from April 15-19. (Not a member yet? Sign up here—it's free!)
At checkout, all you need to do is enter the promo code OMGSPRING, which is good for unlimited use. All tiers also get 30% off Sephora Collection products from April 9-19, no promo code required.
So, which products are worth adding to your cart? I've got a list of my top picks below, including both my tried-and-true favourites as well as exciting new brands like Saie, Topicals, INNBeauty Project and MERIT!
Sephora Spring Sale Picks
Paula’s Choice CLINICAL Niacinamide 20% Treatment
Paula's Choice is now at Sephora, including the new CLINICAL Niacinamide 20% Treatment—which is the highest concentration of niacinamide that I've seen on the market. That gives it the consistency of a gel, and the ability to treat stubborn clogged pores and "orange peel" skin texture in addition to dullness, dark spots and excess oil.
Saie Glowy Super Gel Lightweight Dewy Highlighter
Saie Glowy Super Gel Lightweight Dewy Highlighter is from a new line of clean, chic and affordable makeup. This multitasking liquid luminizer can be worn alone or mixed with skincare or foundation for a lit-from-within glow. It's silicone-free, fragrance-free, and available in two shades.
Augustinus Bader Mini The Cream with TFC8 Face Moisturizer
If the price point has been holding you back from trying Augustinus Bader, a more affordable mini version—Mini The Cream with TFC8 Face Moisturizer—has just landed at Sephora. I consider this one of the best lightweight moisturizers for normal to oily skin. Not only is it fragrance-free and silicone-free, it also has ceramides, fatty acids, and the brand's signature TFC8 complex of vitamins and amino acids.
MERIT The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Foundation and Concealer Stick
MERIT The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Foundation and Concealer Stick is another newcomer to Sephora's clean makeup department. As a cross between a foundation and a concealer, this handy stick can be used all over for lightweight, medium coverage. It comes in 20 shades (I bought Linen!), and is fragrance-free and low in silicone.
Tatcha The Serum Stick: Treatment & Touch Up Balm
Tatcha answered one of my skincare prayers when they created The Serum Stick: Treatment & Touch Up Balm. Somehow, they managed to create a balmy moisturizing stick out of 80% squalane oil, which is super-healing and non comedogenic for most skin. You can swipe this on anywhere for a quick moisture boost—I especially love to use it around my nose and eyes.
Dior Addict Lip Tattoo
Dior Addict Lip Tattoo may not be a new product, but it's all I've wanted to wear these last few months. (Does anyone even bother with lipstick anymore?!) This is a lip stain, and it's the best one I've ever found. It's non-drying and delivers the perfect amount of sheer, "your lips, only better" colour. I'm definitely buying more shades!
Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Oil-Free Gel Cream Moisturizer
If you're looking to lighten up your moisturizer for the warmer weather ahead, consider new Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Oil-Free Gel Cream Moisturizer. What makes it stand out versus other gel formulas is that it contains healing ceramides and amino acids to support the moisture barrier. It's also fragrance-free, oil-free and silicone-free.
Shani Darden Retinol Reform
As you probably know by now, Shani Darden Retinol Reform (reviewed here) is one of my all-time favourite retinoids. I got amazing results (like clearer, brighter skin) from its combination of retinol and lactic acid. I also love that it is fragrance-free, oil-free and silicone-free.
Farmacy Deep Sweep 2% BHA Pore Cleaning Toner with Moringa + Papaya
I'm the biggest advocate for BHAs, and Farmacy Deep Sweep 2% BHA Pore Cleaning Toner with Moringa + Papaya is one of the very best. This is a toner with 2% salicylic acid, which both exfoliates your skin surface and unclogs pores to prevent breakouts. It shouldn't cause irritation, since BHAs are naturally anti-inflammatory, and this formula is also free of alcohol, fragrance and essential oils.
Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer and Daytime Eye Cream
I still can't stop raving about Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer and Daytime Eye Cream. (Yes, it has so many treatment ingredients that Sephora is also calling it an eye cream!) This has been my go-to concealer for the past year now, and I love the creamy, natural-looking, non-creasing and long-lasting medium coverage. Unlike most concealers, it is also silicone-free, and the brand recently expanded the shade range to 28 shades (I wear Tone 01N).
Topicals Faded Serum for Dark Spots & Discoloration
Topicals Faded Serum for Dark Spots & Discoloration keeps selling out, but I'm crossing my fingers that they'll re-stock before the sale is over! This new-to-Sephora brand is all about targeted solutions for skin flare-ups, and if you deal with dark spots, post-acne marks or uneven tone, this treatment is for you. Niacinamide, azelaic acid and kojic acid are just a few of its discolouration-fighting ingredients.
Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater + Squalane Makeup Removing Face Wash
Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater + Squalane Makeup Removing Face Wash has quickly become one of my favourite cleansers, and it's one I'd recommend for all skin types. It's sulfate-free, with the most amazing cream-gel texture, and is so gentle yet effective. It rinses away clean without any residue, leaving your skin soft—not stripped.
Paula’s Choice C15 Vitamin C Super Booster
Finally, Sephora has an L-ascorbic acid serum that I can fully recommend! Paula's Choice C15 Vitamin C Super Booster has an ideal 15% concentration, along with vitamin E and ferulic acid to enhance performance and stability. This is one of the best solutions for brightening dullness, fading pigmentation and softening fine lines.
REN Clean Screen Mattifying Face Sunscreen SPF 30
REN Clean Screen Mattifying Face Sunscreen SPF 30 is my favourite sunscreen that Sephora carries, and perfect if you hate SPFs with a heavy, greasy feel. It has thin texture, dries down matte and controls shine—all the while giving you high UV protection with 22% zinc oxide.
Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick
Celebrity makeup artist Gucci Westman's Westman Atelier is yet another clean makeup brand that has just arrived at Sephora, and the Baby Cheeks Blush Stick is one of her most beloved products. It has a creamy, easy-to-blend texture and melts into your skin for a natural-looking flush. There are six shades to choose from.
INNBeauty Project Down to Tone Resurfacing Acid Toner
Rumour has it that INNBeauty Project Down to Tone Resurfacing Acid Toner is a dupe for a certain French exfoliating toner with a cult following. This clean formulation includes six different acids (lactic, salicylic, phytic, malic, gluconolactone and citric) plus niacinamide, vinegar and bilberry extract—all for a fraction of the price.
Freck Beauty Freck The Original Freckle
I've been using Freck Beauty Freck The Original Freckle since way back, so I couldn't be happier that it's now sold at Sephora. Available in two shades, this is the ultimate formula for creating realistic-looking and long-lasting faux freckles. (And in case you didn't know, faux freckles are a secret makeup artist trick for making it look like you're not wearing foundation!)
Herbivore CLOUD JELLY Plumping Hydration Serum
Since I'm such a fan of the matching cleanser, I'm very excited about the new Herbivore CLOUD JELLY Plumping Hydration Serum. Not only does it have a similar texture and scent, it's also unique in terms of ingredients. Rather than hydrating with the usual hyaluronic acid, it's made with Tremella mushroom extract, which is even better at holding onto moisture.
Peace Out Retinol Eye Stick
If you're looking for a way to treat signs of aging around the eyes, the Peace Out Retinol Eye Stick deserves a look. This is a serum balm in a swipe-on stick, and it has encapsulated retinol, peptides, hyaluronic acid and ceramides infused in a squalane oil base. I've never seen anything else like it!
ILIA Blue Light Protect + Set Mist
ILIA Blue Light Protect + Set Mist does more than just refresh your skin and set your makeup. It also shields your skin from the blue light emitted by tech devices, in addition to the free radicals from regular pollution. The aloe, sea water and algae also coat your skin in a lightweight veil of moisture.
Summer Fridays Summer Skin Nourishing Body Lotion
I'm super picky about the ingredients in body lotions, since they cover a larger surface area (and you're therefore absorbing more of them). So I'm impressed by the new Summer Fridays Summer Skin Nourishing Body Lotion, which is primarily comprised of coconut fatty acids, glycerin, propanediol and fatty alcohol. It also has shea and coconut butters, an array of ceramides, and a subtle, beachy scent.
Amika High Tide Deep Wave Hair Crimper
If you love the look of soft, beachy, Boho waves, Amika High Tide Deep Wave Hair Crimper is a worthwhile investment. I bought mine last year, and it's been so quick and easy to use, giving me that perfectly imperfect texture that I could never create with a curling iron.
Deborah Lippmann Get Off Callus Softener Intensive Treatment
Sandal season is fast approaching, and Deborah Lippmann Get Off Callus Softener Intensive Treatment is my secret weapon for getting soft, smooth feet at home. If you're like me and deal with calluses and dry heels, you need to try it—you just spray it on, wait five minutes, and then buff off the dead skin with a foot file. This is an excellent alternative to acid foot peels, as the results are instant (and you won't be shedding for a week!).
Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
I can't live without my Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, which I stir into lattés and smoothies daily. Not only are they a good source of protein, but you're also getting the full spectrum of amino acids to help balance your diet and discourage inflammation. I can attest that these have made a huge difference with the strength and length of my nails, and also help with skin and hair health.
